Schneider Ranch is located 12
miles from the quaint town of San Saba. An easy 2 hour drive
from Austin or 2.5 hour drive from San Antonio.
High ridges, deep valleys, and a
fabulous unspoiled section of the beautiful San Saba River await
your exploration. Rolling hills are covered in live oak, white
brush, persimmon and prickly pear. In the spring the
bluebonnets are breathtaking and the remainder of summer brings
various wild flower fields for the enjoyment of all.
Spectacular panoramic views with wildlife abound.
The San Saba River flows at one
end of the ranch and is well known for having some of the best
fishing around. Catfish, bass and crappie are abundant
and the river is a great place to just enjoy the beauty of the
surrounding area. There is also a large tank that is stocked
with hybrid perch and catfish for your enjoyment.
The
ranch has been in the Schneider family for 70 years and has been
the source of hundreds of happy memories of family and
friends. Days spent hunting and fishing can be relived at days end with dinner served in the wonderful dining area or outside on the patio overlooking the river below. More in depth discussions can continue around the fire pit after dinner. |
